"BUTEX Alumni USA Picnic & Reunion 2026: A Vibrant Celebration by the Hudson River"

The annual picnic and reunion of Butex Alumni USA was held in an extremely joyful and vibrant atmosphere. The day-long event was organized on August 8, 2026, at a large pavilion in George Island Park, located in the naturally scenic Hudson River basin of New York. The entire venue came alive with the participation of BUTEX graduates' families and invited guests. The presence of BUTEXians arriving from distant places—not just New York, but also Canada, North Carolina, Georgia, and Texas—added an extra dimension to the event.

The day's program began at 10:00 AM with the serving of delicious breakfast. Afterwards, the organization's president, Engineer Mohammad Tariqul Islam, distributed name badges to all members present and assigned respective duties to the volunteers. The picnic was smoothly managed by the picnic committee convener, Engineer Liton Khan; member secretary, Engineer Dr. Imranul Islam; the organization's general secretary, Engineer Dr. Majibur Rahman Khan; Chief advisor Engineer Dr. Ali Ahmed; Engineer Anwarul Haque; Engineer Farhad Akbar; Engineer Nafiul Majid; Engineer Abani Kunda; Engineer Maieen; Engineer Sumon Shihab; Engineer Muhammad H. Mithun; Engineer Rajiul Hasan; and Engr. Sarmin, along with many others.

The contributions of several volunteers, alongside the little ones, were commendable. Viva, Samanna, Muskaan, Muntasir, Tasin, and Tamim played a special role in selling raffle draw tickets. Debangona and Engr. Avani Kunda captivated everyone with their singing. The little champ Iram performed a dance. Other volunteers included Jerin, Munni, Karia, Sheuly, Hadisha, Zaheda, Beauty, Brighty, and special photographic assistance was provided by Syed Faisal, Saira, and Tani.

One of the major attractions of the event was recreational sports. Competitions like 'Water Balloon Throw' and 'Pillow Passing' for couples, and 'Kick Ball into Net' for men, drew particular attention. After a delicious lunch, prizes were distributed among the winners of the sports events. Additionally, attractive towels were given as gifts to all families. Finally, the day's activities concluded with the much-anticipated raffle draw.
