On  November 22nd, a new milestone was achieved as the expatriate alumni of the Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) residing across the United States formed an Executive Committee for the very first time. BUTEX graduate textile Engineers from various states participated in the vibrant gathering, which marked the inaugural hybrid (both virtual and in-person) event organized by BUTEX Alumni USA—a true reunion of our beloved BUTEXIAN community. The meeting began with a welcome address by Engr. Faruque Hossain, who outlined the mission, vision, and plans of the newly formed organization, BUTEX Alumni USA. The lively event was moderated by Engr.  Dr. Md Majibur Rahman Khan, while Engr.  Dr. Imranul Islam provided technical support. The formal proceedings commenced with a brief speech from Engr.  Tariqul Islam (Tariq). Session One: Member Introductions All in-person and virtual participants introduced themselves, reflecting the diversity and widespread presence of BUTEX alumni across the country. Session Two: Formation of the Committees With the consent of all attendees, a 31-member Executive Committee and an Advisory Committee were formed for the 2026–2027 term. Based on the majority opinion, a refined and meaningful logo was selected as the official logo of BUTEX Alumni USA. Closing The event concluded with a delightful dinner, marking a successful and memorable evening for the entire BUTEXIAN community. This wonderful program was held at Halal Diner Restaurant in Jamaica, Queens, New York City.
