A mother’s love runs deeper

 Than the vast, swirling expanse of an ocean, 

Much like the mighty Narmada River 

That flows with unwavering strength! 

As the relentless currents roared and crashed around them, 

Marina said to her son, Trishan, “Do not worry, I am here, I will not let you go!

Her bond with her toddler remained unshakable and resolute 

When the tempest unleashed its fury!

 The wind turned their fragile tourist boat 

Into a precarious vessel in the stormy water, 

She instinctively tightened her grip on her son, 

Drawing him on her chest! 

She enveloped the little boy in her protective embrace, 

A lifeline amidst the chaos, 

And secured his delicate form 

Within the reassuring confines of a life jacket and marvellous love! 

 Her arms became a sanctuary, 

Shielding her flesh and soul from the wild waves and tempest outside, 

A testament to her unwavering promise of safety 

And love that would endure until her very last breath!

 In the face of nature's tumultuous rage, 

The Narmada River, 

With its ferocious waves, 

Could not extinguish the flames of their bond!

 In its place, it served to fortify the deep connection between mother and son, 

Making them transcendent and spiritual

As their love transformed into something 

Truly immortal against the backdrop of swirling waters!This heartfelt poem is lovingly dedicated to the wonderful bond between Marina Massey and her son, Trishaan.
